Funerals usually follow the same pattern. Long lines of black-clad silent people, ceremonies that haven't changed in ages, and the same words spoken each and every time at yet another grave. It seems that in times of grief people need conventionality so that no one has reason to be offended.
Personal funerals are rare, such as those of Prince Hendrik and Princess Wilhelmina who had both chosen white as their favourite colour.
