As soon as temperatures in the Netherlands start to drop, the Dutch get their skates ready and start dreaming about the "Elfstedentocht", the famous Dutch skating marathon. But in case the country will see another winter with just a few spells of frost the Dutch do not worry: they will end up at an indoor ice rink or enjoy seeing their skating heroes on television.
